The practice of drawing and sketching is the foundation of all visual arts. Through the usage of line and tone, solidity and depth is achieved, giving life to three-dimensional forms on a piece of paper. Systematic training in drawing is not only the first step into the world of art making but it is in fact, much more than that. The practice of drawing is therapeutic in nature and helps also cultivates patience, mental alertness, and perseverance.

Our classes are suitable for any adult and teenagers above 10 years old, with or without prior experience in any form of art! 

Our studio classes provide art instruction and guidance from a foundational level. This is to bridge any previous knowledge, and to give complete beginners a hands-down manual of the basics and step-by-step approach to Drawing and Sketching. If you already have experience in sketching, our teachers will teach you base on your level, and help you to improve your sketching skills into the next level in the professional field.

Structured? Yes, it may seem that this academy-school approach may be structured for some, and therefore restrict the freedom of expression. However, at our Studio, we teach you to acquire a good art foundation in whichever medium you choose to learn, and it is skills and techniques that will equip you to explore your individual expressions and achieve your artistic goals – be it Abstract, Realism, Architectural Paintings, Landscape Paintings, or complexed Portrait or Figure Paintings!

In Our Professional Drawing and Sketching Course, you will be able to learn:

  1. Basic theory of drawing and sketching, familiarise yourself with the use of sketching tools, understand sketching techniques and brief introduction to various pencil strokes。
  2. Train your observation skills  through still life drawing, understand the composition, correct proportions and perspectives of the still life。
  3. Apply the correct toner value for both the objects and the surrounding colour around the still life settings.

You may refer to the lesson schedules below to join our classes. Since we have a flexible attendance system with courses that are tailored to individual learnings, you may drop-in ( no need to prebook every time you come for the lesson) at any time of the sessions listed below.

8节素描／速写课程内容：

1）首先学习素描基础理论；了解素描材料和运用。

2）通过静物写生训练对实物的观察能力，学习构图方法，学习色调素描和结构素描。

老师会针对不同绘画程度的学员，给予不同的教导方式。我们的老师采取学院派正规教学，浓缩长期课程内容，采用速成法教学，让学生们能在短时间内做到素描入门，掌握素描及速写技巧，为日后独立创作打下良好基础。
