Organised by the Hwi Yoh Group under Sam Mui Kuang Pottery, Ceramix 2016 is a ceramic exhibition featuring the works of 21 artists from a mixture of backgrounds. Although the exhibitors and artists differ in occupations, styles, interests, expertise and experience, this has produced a great variety of work which celebrates diversity and a common love for ceramic art.
The Hwi Yoh Group was named after the famous Dragon Kiln operated by the Chua family that was once located at Jalan Hwi Yoh. While the historic kiln had since been demolished, the group continues to operate and flourish at its current premise at Jalan Kelulut in Seletar Hill Estate today.
Ceramix 2016 will feature the works of the following artists: Chua Soo Kim, Chua Soo Khim, Patsy Chua, Allen Hang, Brenda Ho, Chong Soon Seng, Choo Woon, Gan Hui Beng, Joel Tan, John Tan Hock Chye, Justin Loh Suan Jin, Khoo Thian Chor, Kok Pei Foong, Lam Lee Chin, Lynn Teo, Patricia Tan, Richard Lim, Sean Lim, Tan Geok Chye, Wong Juat Ngoh, Yeo Yek Kian.
