“2018 China Youth Young Arts Exchange Exhibition” is hosted by Chengdu Jiru Culture Communication and co-organized by the Federation of Art Societies Singapore and Visual Arts Center Singapore. The exhibition will be held at the Singapore Visual Arts Center from 30th April to 2nd May 2018. The nine artists participating in the exhibition are all contemporary painters from China. They are Mr. Zeng Side, Mr. Yuan Zigui, Mr. Zhao Xianzhong, Mr. Liao Yihe, Mr. Huo Jiashun, Ms. Li Yu, Ms. Xu Ling, Ms. Deng Xiaolin and Ms. Liu Wei.
This exhibition will showcase their recent creation of more than 40 colour Chinese ink artworks. These artworks displayed include traditional Chinese landscapes, flowers, birds, calligraphy and characters, and more.

Our Foundation in Digital Art workshop invites budding creatives aged nine and above to unleash their imagination and hone their artistic skills in a dynamic, supportive environment. Through hands-on activities and interactive sessions, participants will discover the endless possibilities of digital expression while fostering creativity and critical thinking. In the Batik Introduction Handkerchief Painting workshop, participants will learn the traditional art of batik, a wax-resist dyeing technique originating from Indonesia. The workshop begins with a brief history and overview of batik, highlighting its cultural significance and various techniques. Participants will then observe a demonstration of applying wax with tjanting tools and dyeing the fabric. Following the demonstration, each participant will design and create their own batik handkerchief, applying wax to create patterns and then dyeing their fabric. The workshop concludes with a group discussion, allowing participants to share their creations and reflect on their learning experience.
