Modern Art Exhibition By Wu Mu-Li
WU MU-LI WAS BORN IN HAIFENG, GUANGDONG IN 1960. HE GRADUATED FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF FINE ARTS OF SOUTH CHINA NORMAL UNIVERSITY WITH A BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE. HE STUDIED UNDER FAMOUS ARTISTS SUCH AS LAI SHAOQI HUANG YUN AND LUO JINGQUAN. HE IS CURRENTLY A SPECIALLY APPOINTED PAINTER OF THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE OF CHINA. HE HAS HELD MANY LARGE-SCALE EXHIBITIONS AT HOME AND ABROAD. THIS IS THE FIFTH TIME FOR THE PAINTER TO HOLD A SOLO EXHIBITION IN SINGAPORE.
WU MULI’S CONTEMPORARY INK PAINTINGS EMBODY THE TAOIST ESSENCE OF YIN AND YANG, WEAVING TOGETHER THREADS OF SIMPLICITY AND DEPTH. HIS CANVASES ARE OFTEN ADORNED WITH EXPANSIVE WASHES OF INK, SKILLFULLY JUXTAPOSED AGAINST VAST EXPANSES OF WHITE AND BLACK, CREATING A PROFOUND ECHO OF CONTRAST. THIS INTERPLAY BREATHES LIFE INTO THE ARTWORK, ILLUMINATING THE VIVID CHARM INHERENT IN EACH PIECE. THE HARMONIOUS BLEND OF ESSENCE, ENERGY, AND SPIRIT REVEALS THE BRILLIANCE OF MR. WU MULI’S ARTISTIC VISION. HIS ENCHANTING BRUSHSTROKES INVITE VIEWERS INTO A REALM OF ENDLESS CONTEMPLATION, LEAVING A LINGERING RESONANCE THAT CAPTIVATES THE SOUL.
