Zi artist presents her first exhibition in Singapore at the Visual Arts Centre.
Melting imagery of pop culture with splashes of vibrant colors on canvas, Zi challenges viewers to question their interpretations of the modern world and freedom of choice. Life turned into a series of snacks between Pepsi and Cola, salad and burger, Zara and Gucci, thriller and comedy. Isn’t it worrisome since the choice we settle for is just an illusion? Zi tries to find answers to these questions by using pop art and its chaotic and vulgar language with symbols of our time.
